Diane Dougall Freedman

Diane Freedman is the Ben Franklin parent representative on the AAEE and an alumna of the Class of 1996. She is a dedicated parent of three children—two of whom currently attend Ben Franklin—and an experienced advocate for child and family well-being. Diane holds a Master of Social Work from Tulane University and has worked in school-based social work, community outreach, and nonprofit support services. She is currently in her seventh year as the school social worker at the Hynes-UNO campus. Diane has been an active volunteer in her children’s schools and parent organizations for many years. She is passionate about supporting strong school communities and ensuring access to quality education and health care for all families.
